It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Cardboard Tube Superman! In just a few simple steps, kids can create their favorite superhero out of items you already have in the house. Cardboard Tube Superman

Materials:

  • 4-inch cardboard tube
  • Construction paper: blue, red, white, yellow
  • Peach crayon
  • Black and red markers
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Superman pattern

Instructions:

  1. Use a glue stick to cover the cardboard tube with blue paper.

  2. Print the patterns.
  3. Cut the head section from white paper. Color the face with peach crayon and color the remaining area (hair) with black marker. Use black marker to add eyes. Glue the head section to the cardboard tube.
  4. Cut the pants from red paper and glue around the cardboard tube.
  5. Cut a strip of yellow paper for the belt and glue around the top of the pants.
  6. Cut out superhero emblem from yellow paper. Draw a red outline around the emblem and draw an S in the middle. Glue the chest.

  7. Cut out cape from red paper. Glue the cape to his back.
