  • 2 cardboard paper towel tubes
  • Construction paper: orange, yellow, green, red and purple
  • Googly eyes (various sizes)
  • White paper
  • Black marker
  • Yarn
  • Crinkle cut shredded paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • White craft glue

1. Cut one cardboard tube into two pieces, one a little longer than the other. Cut the other cardboard tube into three pieces, varying lengths.

2. Cover the cardboard tubes with construction paper using a glue stick.

3. Add goggly eyes using white craft glue. Use marker to add eyebrows.

4. Draw mouths on white paper using a black marker. Cut out and glue to the tubes.

5. Cut yarn into 3" lengths and glue inside the top of a cardboard tube for hair. You can also use crinkle cut colored paper (often comes as packaging material in shipping boxes) as hair. Construction paper can also be cut into strips or long triangles and glued on as hair.

This project would be great to make at any time, not just Halloween. I think this would be a cute dcor item on a shelf in a child's playroom! They're so colorful and fun, you could make them to match your color scheme of the playroom!
