Materials List

  • Colored construction paper
  • Pencil to trace the template
  • Sharpie or gel pen
  • Scissors
  • Paper bag
  • Craft glue

Instructions

  1. Print and cut out the templates. There are patterns for the head, face, eyes, blush, nose, teeth, feet, tail, and belly. Trace and cut out the belly and face from cream or white paper, blush from pink, teeth from white, nose from black, and the rest from brown paper.

  2. Glue the heart-shaped face piece to the bottom of the head.

  3. Glue the eyes so that they overlap the lower face section you just glued on.

  4. Glue the nose and teeth to the face

  5. Use a sharpie to trace the teeth outline and the mouth. Glue the pink cheek circles to the sides of the face, folding any extra to the back.

  6. Measure and cut out a rectangular sheet of paper to cover the front of the bag. Attach the feet to one of the short sides of this rectangle. This is the chipmunkā€™s body.

  7. Glue the tail to the side of the body and glue the belly to the front of the body at the bottom

  8. Use a Sharpie to draw a curled pattern on the tail.

  9. Glue the body to the paper bag.

  10. Glue the head to the flattened bottom of the paper bag to complete the craft.
