  2. Make sure you are in a well-ventilated area and coat the inside of your mason jar with tacky spray.

  3. Pour all of the glitter mixture inside your mason jar.

  4. Put the lid back on your mason jar and shake up your jar to coat it in glitter.

  5. Pour any excess glitter back into the cup you created your glitter mixture in.

  6. Allow this to dry 8-10 hours or overnight.

  7. Place the mason jar's lid upside down and put the tealight on top of it.
*Optional: you can glue the tea light in place on the mason jar lid.

  8. Turn on your tea light.

  9. Screw the lid back onto your mason jar.

  10. Enjoy the lovely, glittery glow!

I love glitter! I have many empty mason jars, and a few battery operated tea lights that I am not using. I love the blues and green glitter he used, but I'll also make one in purple and silver. I will make one with fall colors, and another in Christmas colors. These are so easy to make I'm sure I'll make many.

What a fun idea and what a fun light for an outside table on the back porch at night or at our table during a summer camp trip. With or without the kids, I want to give this a try, but instead of mixing the glitter colors, I think I will try making one with red glitter, one with blue and one with silver to give the lights a patriotic flare.

Awesome idea, thanks for sharing!
