Your kids will not believe their eyes when you turn off the lights and reveal the glow of the Floating Fairies Glow Jar. Gorgeous glow in the dark crafts like this kids' craft project are one of the greatest ways to decorate for sleepovers, since the kids will have some light as they stay up and play all night. You can also make several of these Mason jar crafts and use them to add a little magic to summer nights in the back yard. This is the perfect craft for summer and fall when it's warm enough to spend the evenings outside looking at the stars with your children.

Materials: Recycled Crafts, Mixed Media/Miscellaneous

Age Group: Preschool & Kindergarten, Elementary School, Pre-Teens, Teens

Time to complete: Under 30 minutes

Caution must be used when dealing with glow sticks. The chemical is non-toxic, but tiny shards of glass are in the tube. To make this craft, kids must have help from parents, and gloves must be used.

A real good idea for a late night outside with a bunch of friends or for a party or even just to watch in your bedroom what a super cool project this floating fairies glow jar is. This would even be cool for an outdoor wedding centerpiece or even around the walkway. I am a little concerned about letting children handle it because of the chemicals in the glow sticks or the glass (which I did not know it had). How do you dispose of them when you are done since it has chemicals in them? Anyone know?

I love these! There's a lot of potential here with kid's parties and grown-up parties alike!

These jars would look wonderful as centerpieces on tables for a party in the backyard and also placed on the ground next to some plants for a soft glow in the yard! This is an idea I am passing to my friend who is planning a graduation party for her daughter!

These look so fun! Using them for sleepovers is a great idea.

These look so cool. Instead of catching fireflies and getting a bunch of bug bites, you get the best of both worlds with this fun craft for kids.

I definitely would've made this as a kid. (And I might make it now. lol)

wow I love it!!!!!

that is totally cool, I love the way it looks in the dark, I am going to make some of these for Christmas gifts. thanks

Awesome! Glad those glow sticks are cheap and easy to find.

Very Cool! I want to make these for each of my grands.... how long does the 'glow' last? The same as the bracelets.... a few hours?
