Recycled Sleeve Placemat Weave

Save the world one placemat at a time! The Recycled Sleeve Placemat Weave uses only recycled materials to create a bright, fun placemat on which to display your food. Make your own loom out of old cardboard and string, and then transform a t-shirt into a placemat. This is a great way to learn how to weave while making an awesome useful item. Mealtime will be a blast when you see your placemats under everyone's setting.

I remember making these back in grade school. They are easy to make, and a lot of fun too. They are a great classroom project. My grandmother used to collect them when we made them. She liked them because they are nice and thick and help protect the cupboard from burns when used as pot holders.
