Foam Cup Froggy

search

Hop from bored to having a blast when you begin to craft your very own Foam Cup Froggy. Frog crafts for kids are so adorable, and this one is no exception to the rule. Preschool-aged kids can make a froggy friend easily and inexpensively, so it's one of the top craft activities for kids. Stick out your tongue to make sure you can catch all the high fives being thrown your way. That's got to be a good way to catch things because frogs do it!

Materials:

  • 1 foam coffee cup
  • 2 large green pom poms
  • 2 large googly eyes
  • 1 green pipe cleaner
  • Craft paint: light green, green, white
  • Black marker
  • Scrap of red felt
  • Scissors
  • White craft glue
  • Round sponge applicator

Instructions:

  1. Paint the cup with light green paint and allow to dry. Repeat for a second coat.
  2. Glue googly eyes to the pom poms.
  3. Cut pipe cleaner into four equal pieces. Now cut those four pieces into thirds. You should have 12 small pieces.
  4. Use round applicator to add green dots on the cup. Use the handle end of the applicator to add white dots.

  5. Push the pipe cleaner pieces into the cup for the frog's toes.
  6. Glue the eyes to the top of the cup.
  7. Cut a forked tongue from red felt scrap and glue to the front of the cup. Use black marker to add a smiley mouth and two dots for the nose.
