This is going to be tomorrow's art project at my home daycare! I've got lots of scrapbooking paper in green prints and solids that will work beautifully! I like the tip about using green paper for the background in case there's a gap between strips. I know some of the younger kids will have crooked strips, but their parents will love it all the more!

Isn't this so cute? I bet the kids will love making it. Come back and post a picture for us!

I took over a bunch of arts and crafts when I babysat my grandkids, and my 4 year old grandson made the shamrock. He cut it out himself, too, so it's kind of missing one of it's lobes! lol

He liked making the shamrock so much with the strips of paper that we made two Easter eggs, too! The egg shape was easier for him to cut than the shamrock, but it too ended up a fraction of the size he was cutting! lol He was concentrating so hard with his whole face.
