Spooky Safe Halloween Treats

These days it's not safe to hand out home-baked goods for Halloween, but that doesn't mean you can't spook the trick-or-treaters. Make your house stand out as the best on the block when you hand out Spooky Safe Halloween Treats. These easy Halloween treats stay wrapped, but they have a fun, personal touch. You can also make these Halloween crafts for kids for class parties or Halloween get togethers.

Materials:

  • Candy bar
  • Cardstock - white, tan
  • Fiskars Upper Crest Border
  • Black ink
  • Fiskars Round 'n Round Squeeze Punch
  • Wiggly eyes
  • Halloween-themed ribbon
  • Halloween-patterned paper
  • Glue
  • Fiskars Tag Template
  • Rub-on letters or marker
  • Foam adhesive
  • Bat punch or scissors and black paper

Instructions:

For Mummy Candy Bar

1.) Trim white cardstock into 1 inch strips for body of mummy. Use the Fiskars Upper Crest border on one edge of each strip. Ink strips for extra detail.

2.) Wrap each strip around candy bar, slightly overlapping each layer.

3.) Punch a “face” from tan cardstock using Fiskars Round ‘n Round squeeze punch. Affix wiggly eyes.

4.) Tie ribbon around bar, and then adhere candy bar to a coffin-shaped piece of tan cardstock detailed with ink.

For RIP Candy Bar

1.) Trim patterned paper to approximately 5 inch x 5.75 inch – wrap around bar, and adhere along seam.

2.) Use Fiskars Tag template to cut a headstone out of tan cardstock. Add rub-on letters and adhere to patterned paper.

3.) Affix punched bat using foam adhesive.
