Easy Lion and Lamb Puppets
These Easy Lion and Lamb Puppets are so fun to make that the kids are going to want to make enough to make their own farms. These puppets are fun paper bag craft ideas for kids to make, and they will love being able to create fun personalities on the sweet lion and lamb faces. The kids are going to love learning how to make puppets, too. Don't forget that these puppet would be great Sunday school crafts for kids, and even spring preschool activities.
Materials:
- Apple Barrel ® Colors - White, Black, Pretty in Pink, Chestnut
- White and brown lunch bags
- 2mm foam sheets – black, white, tan
- Scissors
- Liner brush #1
- Stencil brush ¼”
- Flat brush ¼”
- Foam dobber 1 ¼”
- Styrofoam bowl 6”
- Stuffing or crumpled newspaper
- Stapler
- Glue
- Pencil
Instructions:
- Trace bowl onto tan and white foam sheet. Paint circle black on white foam and chestnut on tan.
- Cut around painted circles as shown.
- Cut four black legs and four tan legs.
- Using spouncer, apply pink dots to paws as shown.
- Create all dots by dipping handle end of paint brush into paint.
- Cut two ears each of tan and black foam.
- Paint faces with liner brush.
- Apply cheeks with dry stencil brush.
- Stuff bags and fold tops over. Staple to secure.
- Paint details on bags.
- Glue arms, legs and heads to bags.
- Glue ears to heads.
