Materials:

  • 2 cardboard paper towel tubes
  • Construction paper: orange, yellow, green, red and purple
  • Googly eyes (various sizes)
  • White paper
  • Black marker
  • Yarn
  • Crinkle cut shredded paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • White craft glue

Instructions:

1. Cut one cardboard tube into two pieces, one a little longer than the other. Cut the other cardboard tube into three pieces, varying lengths.

2. Cover the cardboard tubes with construction paper using a glue stick.

3. Add goggly eyes using white craft glue. Use marker to add eyebrows.

4. Draw mouths on white paper using a black marker. Cut out and glue to the tubes.

This project would be great to make at any time, not just Halloween. I think this would be a cute dcor item on a shelf in a child's playroom! They're so colorful and fun, you could make them to match your color scheme of the playroom!
