Color Blocked Wedges

Color Blocked WedgesColor Block has been a huge trend in the fashion industry lately. Personalize your plain shoes with this Color Blocked Wedges project! It is so easy to take something bland and outdated and turn them into something colorful and trendy! This DIY fashion project for teenagers is perfect for back to school or when you just want to vamp your wardrobe in the middle of a semester. You will be able to finish this fashion craft idea the night before a big date or dance. Walk tall and confident through the halls with your cute new shoes that barely cost you anything.

Color Blocked Wedges materials

  • Cork wedges
  • Painter's tape
  • X-ACTO knife
  • Multi-surface craft paint in 3 colors
  • Stencil brushes




1. Using the X-ACTO Knife, cut a piece of painter's tape in half lengthwise.

2. Divide the cork platforms of your wedges into triangle sections with the thin strips of painter's tape.

3. Fill in all of the individual triangle areas with paint. Dab the paint on using the stencil brushes for the cleanest look.

4. Remove the tape and you are ready to rock it in your new color blocked wedges!
