If you're wondering what to do with all of those leftover CDs you have around the house, you're in luck. This Recycled CD Wind Spinner craft is the perfect way for kids to learn about recycling while making a pretty and easy garden craft. If your old Backstreet Boys CDs' from the 90s (hey, no judgment here) are just sitting around gathering dust, what better way to put them to use than by letting your kids decorate them with sequins, jewels, and glitter? This project is excellent for large groups, which makes this kids' craft awesome for birthday party activities or Girl Scout meetings. Your kids will love decorating your garden with these girly and glam kids' crafts.

These Upcycled CD sparklers are just great! A neat idea might be to add some fishline to hang them and attach them to a line to hang as a garland, or string several vertically, steamer style! This would be a great decoration for a backyard party, or to decorate a three-season porch. They even might work well in the garden for a sparkling and moving type of scarecrow to keep critters out of the garden! Or make a wall of them by gluing or stapling to a wood fence. Great idea!

It's a great craft if it is sparkly or glittery! I need some craft ideas for small groups of children ages 6-8. This project will work. I think they will enjoy choosing which items to glue onto their CD and I'm guessing some will glue random pieces and some will make beautiful patterns!

When my niece and nephew come to stay I like to get them out in fresh air as much as possible, so my partner and I have made a small garden for them that is theirs to grow stuff in which they love, so I think to make decorations like this to hang in their part of the garden with them is a great idea...will help bring a rainy day in when we can't get out to the garden)

This is a great project - love how garden decor stuff can be made with recyclable material like old CDs! I have lots of leftover beads and gems from another project that I can give the kids to glue on the CDs. Not only is this project going to be practically cost-free but it will also keep the kids busy!
