Painted Paper Spring Butterflies

"This colorful and cheery paper craft for kids is just perfect for decorating during the spring and summer months. Printed paper pages are first swiped with paint to make a unique mixture of colors and then the butterfly shapes are cut out and glued together. This project is so much fun that kids will probably want to make more than one butterfly. No two butterflies will ever look the same, either. A printable template is also included for this project."

NotesThe time needed for this project includes drying time for the paint. Once the paint is dry, the butterflies are actually quickly cut out and glued together.

These painted butterflies look so lovely. I really like the watercolor effect. What a great way to decorate a classroom!

I love this idea for a spring bulletin board in an elementary classroom. Having the kids make the butterflies themselves would make it even more special!
