Freaky CD Frankenstein

While Frankenstein is normally creepy, this crafty version of him is nothing but cute. Use a recycled CD to make Halloween crafts for kids that are perfect for the spooky holiday. This fun guy is the perfect combination of adorable and scary, making it the perfect project for young kids. Chances are good that you already have all the materials needed for this Halloween craft idea, which makes this artsy endeavor easy on the wallet. Hang your freaky friends around to house for a haunting touch, or play with them to get you ready for All Hallow's Eve.

Materials:

  • Recycled CD
  • Felt: green, black, gray
  • Black Sharpie
  • 2 large googly eyes
  • Scissors
  • White craft glue

Instrcutions:

  1. Trace the CD onto the green felt and cut out the circle. Glue the green circle to the CD.

  2. From black felt, cut a rectangle the width of the CD. Cut a jagged pattern at one end for the bangs. Glue onto the top of the CD. Trim the top of Frankenstein's "hair" if you wish.

  3. Cut a small rectangle for Frankie's eyebrows and glue in place slightly overlapping two googly eyes.

  4. Use Sharpie to draw stitches on face.

  5. Cut two small rectangles from gray felt and glue to the back of the CD on either side for his bolts.
