ArtiSands Sand Painting Kits Review

Just when you thought there weren't any new products out there to help keep your kids busy, ArtiSands introduced us to their Sand Painting Kits. This truly is a product that is fun for both kids and adults.


The Sand Painting Kits from ArtiSands come in two different sizes; there is the mini kit measuring 5 inches by 7 inches and the deluxe kits that include more materials and bigger sizes. Each kit comes with colorfast, non-toxic sand in a beautiful variety of colors and patterns. What you'll really enjoy about these kits is all the themes you can choose from including sports, animals, ABC's, classic American muscle cars, and desert creepers just to name a few. There really is a theme for everyone out there.


When you get your kit you'll easily see that it's a party in a box! You'll get 10 bright colors of sand and at least 6 peel-and-stick patterns, depending on if you get the mini kit or deluxe. Creating sand art is so easy with these kits. All you have to do is peel section by section either with your fingers or the little toothpick sticks provided, pour on some sand and spread it around. This is the perfect activity to work on during a rainy day and it doesn't even get messy since a tray is provided with it. What I thought was really neat (and great for clumsy kids), is that each tube of sand has a little stopper on it so the sand doesn't go all over the place and you can reuse it over and over.


Get creative with different color combinations and have fun doing it. The kids will love the fact that they can play with sand in the house. I also found that as an adult it was actually really soothing and relaxing; rubbing the sand around was almost like a mini-massage. I'd like to compare this sand art to adult coloring books in that it's such an easy task to work on, it's mindless, but it also allows you to concentrate when you need to for the fun color factor.
